T. R. Paul’s $1.2 million+ donation to TPAAK lives on.

The Board of Directors at TPAAK wanted to thank the family of Mr. T. R. Paul for all that he had done for the school and to provide the facts about his generous donation.

• Mr. Paul’s donation for the TPAAK building contract was the second highest charter school donation in Colorado’s history. In all, he directly donated over $1.2 million of his own money toward the facility so that the school could open.  (Source: D. A. Davidson and Co. review of all financing files related to the TPAAK school facility at 4512 Mcmurry, Ft. Collins, CO 80525)

• The procedures used to provide bond financing for the purchase of the TPAAK facility were similar to those used by all charter schools in Colorado.

• The process used to obtain the financing for the building were overseen and reviewed by several independent attorneys, the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority (a state agency).

• All payments made on behalf of by TPAAK for the facility at 4512 Mcmurry are part of TPAAK’s state funding and go directly from the State of Colorado to the bond holders (mortgage holders). NONE of these payments has ever gone to the non-profit Colorado School Resource Center, Founder Annette Riesel, the TPAAK Board, Mosaica Education, Inc. or any other individual or entity other than the bondholders.

Due to Mr. Paul’s generosity, TPAAK has a permanent, affordable and functional home; something most charter schools in Colorado rarely obtain until after several years of operations.
